BERLIN
Exhibition Stand Builder in Berlin for UK Exhibitors
Exhibiting in Berlin from the UK involves a set of decisions you never have to make at the NEC or ExCeL. German venues require formal stand plan approvals. Build and dismantling windows are fixed and enforced. Budgets are quoted in euros, and the team you rely on during build-up is a flight away rather than a drive.
We work with - from the UK exhibiting at events like ITB Berlin, InnoTrans, IFA OR Fruit Logistica, as their exhibition stand designer, builder and contractor, handling the whole project from the first concept through to the stand coming down. Your stand is designed, built and installed by us, so the structure itself never has to travel from the UK. You bring your team, your products and your samples.

Serving brands across Europe

Our exhibition stand services in Berlin
As an exhibition stand contractor working at venues like Messe Berlin, we deliver complete stand projects for UK exhibitors, from the first concept through to dismantling. The aim is simple: you should be able to exhibit at a Berlin show with the same confidence as a UK one
- Bespoke exhibition stands, modular systems and two-storey structures developed around your stand space, your products and what you actually need the space to do, whether that is a 20 square metre stand or a multi-level island.
- Exhibition stand design from a dedicated studio. Our exhibition stand designers develop several concepts against your brand guidelines and floor plan, rather than presenting one option and defending
it. - Complete exhibition stand project management, covering concept development, design iterations, production planning, logistics coordination, installation and on-site supervision, all through one point of contact.
- Fabrication through established production partners. Exhibition stand fabrication for your Berlin project is handled by manufacturing partners we have worked with over two decades, coordinated and quality-checked by your project manager.
- Venue liaison and technical submissions, including hall compliance, stand plans and the structural specifications Messe Berlin requires before construction can begin.
- Modular exhibition stands built for a European show calendar, so a UK company exhibiting in Berlin, Frankfurt and Düsseldorf in the same year runs one system rather than three separate builds.
- English-speaking project managers on every project, with working hours that closely overlap with yours in the UK.
Exhibition stand design in Germany carries different requirements than what UK exhibitors are used to at home. Our exhibition stand construction service exists to absorb those, so your team can concentrate on visitors rather than paperwork.

What UK exhibitors should know about Messe Berlin
- The venue is bigger than anything in the UK. Berlin ExpoCenter City runs 27 exhibition and event halls with 190,000 square metres of space, plus the CityCube, hub27 and +palais.Berlin. The CityCube alone offers over 22,000 square metres, including a 6,000 square metre column-free hall with 12 metres of headroom. Stand positions that would count as prominent at a UK show can disappear at that scale, which changes how you use height and lighting.
- Stand plans go through formal approval. German venues require drawings and structural specifications to be submitted and signed off before the build period. It’s a substantive technical review, not paperwork and it is not something to start three weeks out. It is the single most common reason a UK exhibitor’s design has to be altered late.
- Build and dismantling windows are fixed. Access to the halls runs to a published schedule. Deliveries, contractor entry and dismantling all sit inside defined periods.
- The stand does not need to cross the Channel. Because we design, build and install ourselves, your stand is delivered as a single managed process. What travels from the UK is your team, your product samples and your literature, rather than a stand on a lorry.
- Practical notes for UK teams: The exhibition grounds sit in Charlottenburg with three entrances, north, south and east, and are connected by motorway and public transport to Berlin Brandenburg Airport, which most UK regional airports serve directly.

Benefits of working with us in Berlin
Exhibiting in Berlin is a significant investment, and most risk comes from coordination rather than design. These are the things that reduce it.
- One project manager from the brief to dismantle. Trade fair projects rarely fail through poor design. They fail at handovers, when the person who understood your requirements isn’t the person in the hall. Your project manager stays with the project throughout.
- A large design studio, so you get options. Most agencies put one or two designers on a project. We run a larger design team, which means several fresh concepts and more iterations without extra charges. The first idea is rarely the best one.
- Design built around visitor experience. Where the brief calls for an experiential marketing stand rather than a product display, we plan the space around what a visitor does in it: where they stop, what they touch, how a conversation starts. Immersive visitor experience design is a layout and lighting problem before it is a technology one.
- Venue approvals handled for you. We prepare and submit the technical documentation and structural specifications Berlin venues require, so the design that reaches the hall is the design that was approved.
- On-site supervision during build-up. Problems during build-up need a decision within the hour, not an email chain. Someone from our team is in the hall.
- A multi-city calendar, not a single show. With over 2,500 installations delivered across more than 30 countries, we can run Berlin as one stop in a wider programme rather than an isolated project.

Types of exhibition stands
Custom
Designed and built for your brand, your floor space and your products. This is the format to choose when the stand has a particular job to do: a working demonstration, an awkward plot shape, or an immersive design that visitors walk into rather than stand and look at.
Modular
A reusable system that installs quickly and travels across your European show calendar. The structure is stored between shows, reconfigured to fit each new stand allocation and refreshed with updated graphics, so the cost per appearance drops after the second outing.
Double-Decker
A second storey buys meeting and hospitality space without buying more floor, which is why it suits exhibitors running a full diary of meetings on a large stand. You can rent it for a single show, or multiple as well. Either way, decide early: Messe Berlin asks for neighbour consent and formal drawings before a two-storey stand is approved.

FAQs
Frequently asked questions
How do you choose the best exhibition stand company for a Berlin show?
Look at four things rather than the portfolio alone. First, whether they have delivered at that venue and can name the projects. Second, whether one named project manager stays with you from brief to dismantle, or whether the work is handed between teams. Third, whether they prepare and submit the venue’s technical documentation themselves. Fourth, whether the quotation separates the stand build from space rental, venue services and freight, so you can see what you are actually comparing between suppliers.
Do we need to ship our stand from the UK?
No. We design, build and install the stand for you, so the stand structure is produced and delivered, so there’s nothing for you to coordinate. What you bring is your team, your product samples and your literature.
How far in advance should we appoint a stand builder for Berlin?
4 to 8 months before the show. That gives room for concept design, iterations, venue approval and production. For ITB Berlin, InnoTrans and IFA in particular, contractors fill their calendars early. Shorter timelines are workable, they simply narrow the range of formats available.
How does the approval process work at Messe Berlin?
The venue requires stand drawings and structural specifications to be submitted and approved before the build period, with particular attention to stand height, rigging and suspension, and fire safety. We prepare and submit that documentation on your behalf.
What does a stand in Berlin cost?
Stand build costs generally run from EUR 350 to EUR 700 per square metre onwards, with complex or multi-level structures above that. The figure depends on size, structural complexity, materials and how much technology is integrated. Space rental, venue services, freight and travel sit outside that number.
Are quotes in pounds or euros?
Euros. We provide a detailed quotation alongside your 3D design so you can see the full cost before committing, and your finance team can then manage the currency conversion.
Who is our point of contact, and what hours do they work?
A dedicated English-speaking project manager. In practice, your working day and theirs overlap almost completely.
What is the difference between a bespoke and a modular exhibition stand?
A bespoke stand is designed and built specifically for your brand, floor space and objectives. A modular stand uses a system of adaptable components that can be reconfigured for different halls and stand sizes. Modular tends to suit companies exhibiting several times a year.
Can you deliver an immersive or experiential stand?
Yes. Immersive visitor experience design starts with layout and lighting rather than screens: where a visitor enters, what they encounter first, and how far in they get before someone speaks to them. Technology supports that plan, it does not replace it.
Will someone be on-site during build-up and the show?
Yes. We supervise installation throughout the build period and, where agreed in advance, remain on site during the live show.
We are exhibiting elsewhere in Europe too. Can you cover that?
Yes. We have delivered in more than 30 countries. If your calendar includes Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Hamburg or shows outside Germany, running them through one contractor keeps the brand consistent and the coordination simple.
